Things I Have Learned Along the Way
There are many different things that I have learned throughout my high school career about being a Medical Examiner and what to look for as the patient is alive.
I have taken Body Structure and Function (college class) where I learned different things about the body that I never knew. Some things would be how to handle patients when they are not cooperating. I also learned about different types of disease pathways and how they affect the body.
I have also taken Medical Terminology (college class) where I learned about all the different terms and vocabulary about the human body, diseases, operations, different techniques, and procedures.
The Nutrition and Diet Therapy class (college) that I took showed me different ways of eating healthy, with flavor, while still maintaining weight. I also learned that there is a government website that can track my meals and the calories that I eat, along with my physical activity; although, I have to make sure that I put the information into the program.
During my junior year, I took a Medical Science class, where we learned about the many different careers that are in the medical field and how they are different from each other. While some of us thought that a couple of the careers were the same, there were factors that made them different.
I have to thank two of my teachers for peaking my interest in the medical field.
